My daughter is fifteen and shoots with me regularly. Almost weekly. If I join can she come with me and shoot. Utilizing the same bench.

CCGCI has just barely been open for 3 years, so I am not sure where you are reading these posts. The land was being cleared at that time, but no talk of completion dates. At this time there are no immediate plans for a club house/amenities as we do not have water/power available. We are a new club and do not have the capital to do everything at once.

Our club runs on volunteers. At this time we have 2 people running orientation classes. Classes are capped at 20 people and we have already opened up and filled 5 more spots for January. Classes this size are already running around 2-2.5 hours. Especially when applicants bring more than what was registered.

Submitting my application and I see that there is only 1 orientation class per month, and the January class is full.
Will another class be added, or more folks allowed to attend the January class?
The next scheduled orientation isn't until 6 weeks later.
Not really diggin' the idea of paying, then waiting 6 weeks before i can use the range.

Considering applying, but concerned that I've read 3+ year old posts about the 1000 yard range being nearly done... and it still isn't finished. Also read of plans for a clubhouse and other amenities that I believe are not yet completed.

There are tables available on the pistol ranges but not benches. The 200 yard range has 10 benches and the 100 yard range has 2 benches.

As for the open powder, I believe the idea is that they do not want you to have a big jug of powder with you on the firing line. So a single shot vial shot not be an issue.

I am considering applying for membership, and I have some questions:

Are there sheltered shooting stations with benches on the pistol and rifle ranges?  How many?

Regarding the use of black powder muzzleloaders and prohibition of loose powder on the firing line - is it acceptable to bring powder in individual vials (one per shot) containing pre-measured powder charges?

    Thanks -
