New to shooting or owning a pistol? Has it been a long time since you fired a pistol? Are you an experienced shooting looking to review and refine your fundamentals? This class will cover the fundamentals of firearm safety, terminology, operation, handling, grip, stance, basic marksmanship, and reloading. Then take those new/refined skills through some drills to build on those basics. Class Requirements 1. Your personal firearm/pistol Full or compact preferred with double stack (ex. Glock, SIG, S&W). Sub-Compact handguns (ex. S&W Shield, Glock 43 or SIG 365( can be used but will require more frequent reloading. A revolver is acceptable, but not ideal. If all you have is a micro compact (ex. S&W Bodyguard or Ruger LCP) please let the instructor know prior to the class to discuss it's use and possible options. 2. Minimum 2 magazines 3. 100 rounds factory ammunition 9mm or greater caliber preferred. 4. Protective Eyewear 5. Ear Protection 6. Closed-Toe, Supportive Shoes 7. Appropriate clothing for the weather (class is outside) closed collar or scarf (to prevent hot brass goin down your shirt). 8. Note taking Material & Pen 9. Water bottle/Drink & snacks for breaks Please note this class will not involve drawing from the holster. Drills will be conducted from the bench/table or low ready only.
