Intermediate Pistol Class

The Intermediate Pistol Class is perfect for shooters with prior training, enhancing skills from Zev’s Basic Pistol Class or equivalent courses. This advanced training refines marksmanship, perfects the holster draw, and builds proficiency in reloads and malfunction clearances. Tackle challenging drills to boost speed, accuracy, and multi-target handling.

Class requirements are as follows (FIREARMS AND MAGAZINES MUST BE UNLOADED AND IN A CASE PRIOR TO COMING INTO THE CLASS): 

• Your personal firearm/pistol with which you want to train.  It is preferred to bring a full or compact size, double-stack handgun (ex: Glock, SIG or S&W). 
• Sub-compact handguns such as the S&W Shield, Glock 43 or Sig 365 can be used though these pistols may require more frequent reloading.
• A revolver is acceptable, but not ideal.
• If all you have is a micro compact (S&W Bodyguard or Ruger LCP for example) please let the instructor know ahead of time to discuss its use and possible options.
• Minimum of two magazines.
• 200 rounds (you may be more though not necessary) factory ammunition; 9mm or greater caliber preferred though please bring what is going to cycle properly through your pistol.
• Eyeglasses or Protective eyewear 
• Ear protection
• Closed-toed, supportive shoes.
• Appropriate clothing for the weather, this will be an outside class, closed-collar shirt or scarf (to prevent hot brass from going down your shirt). 
• Note taking material and pen  
• Water bottle / drinks and snacks (we will take breaks as needed). 
• HOLSTER (KYDEX, NO SERPA OR NYLON HOLSTERS) IS REQUIRED FOR THIS CLASS AND A MAGAZINE CARRIER FOR AT LEAST ONE SPARE MAGAZINE - A STURDY BELT IS REQUIRED AS WELL 

Please note this class WILL involve drawing from the holster, cost for the class is $25, to offset the cost of targets.  This is a CCGC sponsored shooter education class exclusively for club members.  The class fee can be paid online or in person on the day of the class.
